Estrin Launches E-pay First

These days, corporate corridors are filled with whispers as billers shift their electronic strategies into top gear. South African Corporates are fast catching up to their global counterparts in replacing traditional paper based billing, with realtime electronic solutions.

Whilst South African billers are already utilising Electronic Bill Presentment technologies, the full EBPP cycle, including payments, has only been mooted, until now. Estrin Software has successfully completed live testing of its E-pay product, the payment component of its EBPP solution. Testing has been completed with Standard Bank's Autopay gateway as well as Setcom's credit card gateway and Estrin is in advanced discussions with the other leading financial institutions.

"After months of research we identified the need to deliver a multi-banked, multi-gateway payment product to the South African EBPP market.", says Uri Estrin , Chief Operating Officer, Estrin Software . "We leveraged our skills from our e-commerce experience with payment gateways and processes and encapsulated them in our latest offering".

Estrin's EBPP solution is modeled on a push technology utlising 128bit PKI encryption, making it one of the strongest solutions for the South African market.

Estrin Software will be the first to launch a complete EBPP offering, including payment technology in South Africa on Tuesday 22 October 2002. A guest speaker at the launch will be Herman H. Singh, Director of Online Business, Standard Bank who will provide an EBPP industry perspective.
